Lady Gaga replaced Beyoncé as the headline act for Coachella in Indio, California, as Queen Bey was unable to attend due to being pregnant with twins.
Gaga’s setlist included old and new favourites, from “Bad Romance” and “Just Dance” to “Born This Way”, not forgetting her third studio album, Artpop with, “Sexxx Dreams”, and “Venus”.
She also performed songs from her latest album, Joanne, which was released late last year; her fourth album to reach no.1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Gaga decided to surprise fans with her unexpected new single – halfway through her Coachella set she told her fans she loved them and then shared the meaning behind the song.
“I love you guys so much. I have been through so much in my life and I’ve seen so much – and you cure me every time with your love,” she said.
Lady Gaga will be touring Australia later this year, though for now fans will have to wait in anticipation for a new album.
