The colder months can be as good a time as any to pack your bags and see what Victoria has to offer. If a getaway filled with red wine, picturesque views and open fireplaces is what you like, Dayelsford is right up your alley.

We’ve complied a list of the best things to see and do, so you don’t have to.

Stay at: Lady Marmalade

This Air BnB has everything you could ever need and views to take your breath away. Fit with lush king beds, a fire place, spa bath and wall of celebrity Nun’s, (because why not) there is no better place to spend your getaway. The hosts also provided a jar of home made marmalade, local coffee and oats.

Breakfast at: The Boathouse, Lake Daylesford

Amazing food and coffee overlooking the stunning Lake Daylesford. Work off your avocado and poached eggs with a walk around the lake afterwards. The whole lake takes around an hour to walk, but the views and serenity are worth it!

Boozy Lunch: The Belverdere Social

If it wasn’t for more Tuscan looking decor and the surrounding greenery, you would think that this restaurant came straight out of Chapel Street. $55 gets you a 3-course lunch and a wine of your choice, the food is so fresh and tasty, it is worth every cent.

Afternoon pick-me-up: Lavendula

The Lavendula Swiss Italian Farm is a cosy little area where you can cozy up to the fire and enjoy some of their lavender scones and lemonade. The farm is perfect for a wander, there’s plenty to see including animals, lakes and flower gardens. The farm is very popular for weddings, after one step inside you can see why.

Find a treasure: The Amazing Mill Markets

Huge sheds filled with vintage treasures waiting to be discovered. You can find anything your heart desires here, as it’s all in amazing condition.
