Last month, an exhibition was built right at the centre of Melbourne that fit right into the hearts of superhero fans: it’s the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.

According to its website, it will cost you $35 (for an adult) to get in. But is it worth your time and money? What is this S.T.A.T.I.O.N. anyway?

No need to worry, cause the Dscribe team got you covered.

Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. (Science, Training, and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) is an exhibition organised in collaboration of Marvel and Disney in which Marvel fans can experience a bit of the Marvel Cinematic Universe world.

The exhibition is made into a covert facility training where visitors can simulate training to become one of S.T.A.T.I.O.N’s agents, just like another Avenger member.

It’s the second Marvel exhibition in Australia, after last year’s ‘The Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe’ in Brisbane.

And Melbourne is one of the first ten cities the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is visiting, alongside with New York, Seoul, Paris and Las Vegas.

It showcases a range of Avengers operation equipment including Captain America’s uniform and shield, Iron Man’s The Hulkbuster suit and Thor’s mighty hammer.

And now we move on to the question we’ve been thinking about from the start of this article: is it worth it?

Despite the price that made you stop and think twice, most of the reviews for the exhibition has been good.

Joerina came in with her husband and three of her sons, and came out with smiles at the end.

“I think it’s pretty expensive, cause it’s like $40 something for an adult and $25 for a four-year-old. I think a $75 package for a family would be better,” Joerina said.

However, the five of them had a good time inside.

“It was good, but it was very busy. Some parts were very crowded, some of the lines were very long. But it was fun and the kids had fun, right?” That question was answered with three big ‘yeses’ from her sons.

Kate and Jack, a couple of Avengers fans came out of the exhibition still joking with each other.

“It was awesome,” Jack said, “little games, lots of stuff to look at, a bit of interactive stuff”.

“It was probably expensive for what it is. But it’s Marvel, I think they need to get their money somewhere,” Kate reasoned.
