Beyoncé is one of the most prolific performers of our time, and she may very well be onto something when talking about how artists have moved away from making albums. 

When did the shift from taking the time to make an album turn to pumping out singles?
I spoke to senior contributor of TheMusic, Cyclone Wehner, and homegrown artists Jamie-Rose (@jamierosemusic) and Genesis Owusu (@genesisowusu) to help figure this out.
